CA SCUBA Winter Break Trip

This is your official invitation to sign up for the annual winter break trip! We will be going to California January 11-18, 2020!

Brief itinerary: 

Saturday, January 11: Flight Chicago to Los Angeles

Sunday, January 12: 3 boat dives Ventura/Channel Islands

Monday, January 13: 3 boat dives Ventura/Channel Islands

Tuesday, January 14: Travel to Monterey

Wednesday, January 15: Free day (hiking, state parks, rest day, etc.)

Thursday, January 16: 2 shore dives Monterey/Point Lobos State Reserve

Friday, January 17: Dive operations tour at Monterey Bay Aquarium

Saturday, January 18: Flight San Francisco to Chicago

A mandatory trip briefing will be held on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5th, 6-8pm to introduce trip participants and go over the required documents needed, the trip plan, expectations, and packing suggestions. If you cannot make this meeting, please let us know so we can schedule a separate time to meet. 

A mandatory pool refresher dive is scheduled for SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8th, 12-3pm. This will give us an estimate of your experience with diving and go over important shore and boat diving practices. 

Gear checkout will be during/after the trip briefing meeting. If you cannot make this date/time, please reach out so we can schedule an alternate time to check out gear. 

Non-refundable deposit of $75 is due now. 

Full cost of the trip is ~$700 (no more than $700) per person.  

Full cost of trip will be due no later than DECEMBER 30, 2019.  We will confirm the final cost of the trip very soon.

The cost of this trip includes roundtrip airfare, transportation to/from airport, transportation in California, 8 dives (weather dependent), breakfast/lunch two days on dive boat, housing in California, and a dive operations tour at Monterey Bay Aquarium. The cost of this trip does not include gear rental ($25 from Hoofers), most food, flight checked baggage fees, any recreational activities we may do, and trip insurance. 

Because we have more people on the waitlist than spots available, you have until SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30th to sign up and pay the $75 deposit.
